Academic History

In the summer of 2014, I completed my master's degree program at Michigan State University. Prior to working on my Master's of Arts in Educational Technology I studied Secondary Education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas as well as the University of Nevada, Reno. I earned my Bachelor's of Science Degree from UNLV in May of 2011.
Altough my formal learning is limited to specific instutions, I feel like I am a constant student. I am always looking for something new to learn, try, or do. I am a visual learner so there are often times that I will see "how" something is done/made and try to replicate it. I love learning and exchanging ideas with my peers, collegues, as well as my students.

Personal History

I'm a wife and mother. My husband and I welcomed our first child, a little boy, in September of 2014. I am a full time Social Studies teacher at the secondary level. I have been teaching for 5 years so far (2011-2016) and I love what I do. I am a firm believer that you should enjoy your career and follow your heart. I became a teacher because I love to help others. I was inspired by a few of my own teachers to enter Secondary Education and I am blessed to work along side several of them now.
